I get to fly to LAX this afternoon for my cousin Ronnie’s wedding. As a bonus, I get to go to Disneyland for two days with my sister and her kids.
This should be especially cool as they are celebrating Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary so I hear the park is really decked out.
Do you remember when Disneyland had ticket books (which in the end were lettered A-E), not the unlimited passes like today, and the best rides were the E ticket rides? That’s E ticket not to be confused with e-ticket (i.e., electronic ticket). What would really constitute an E ticket ride nowadays? The unusual has become somewhat pedestrian to us cyncial Gen-Xers.
I’ll take a bzillion pictures over the next couple of days and see if I can get a decent photoblog on our flickr photostream. In the meantime, this close-up of Maleficent will have to do. A fellow named Thomas Hawk took some gorgeous snaps of Disneyland. (I love flickr!) Gnome Dawg is going with me if I can manage it and I’ll see if I can’t get him to pose.
Hope the Dramamine doesn’t make me too spacey, well more spacey than normal.
