Forecast for today: sunny and 88 degrees. I should be happy: it’s warm, the sun is shining, my tomatoes are ripening on the vine. But it’s not warm — it’s hot! The sun is frying my flowers and my skin sticks to the leather interior of my car.
Oh, cool, delicious Winter, where are you? I miss the option of putting on more layers to get to the right temperature instead of not being able to take off anything more and still being overheated. I miss using my car seat heaters to get warm enough instead of waiting and waiting for the air conditioner to finally spit out enough frigid air to cool my car that has become a sauna. I miss seeing my breath instead of losing my breath from humidity.

Nooooo! Don’t wish away the hot! I spend many dark, dismal months trying to stay warm; please, give me a few more weeks before my car feels like the freezer section at Kroger in the mornings!
Seems that my friends have strong weather preferences. Today it’s going to get up to 92 degrees. I’m going to hide in my air conditioned office all day.
