Although I work in Lexington, I must admit that I haven’t explored downtown very much. Friday night, Randy and I went with my best friend Leslie and did a little exploring. The fountains at Triangle Park are rather picturesque especially at night. I’ve uploaded a few photos to flickr of our little adventure.
There were several other people hanging out in the park. Two little girls in bathing suits were playing in the fountains which was cute but it was 10:30 p.m. and I couldn’t help but wonder why they weren’t in bed. Only one apparently homeless person was asleep on a bench and we only had to avoid looking at two couples making out (don’t people just go parking anymore?).
We’ll have to explore some of the restaurants there. With smoking banned inside of restaurants in Lexington, most of them have nice patios with outdoor seating. On a warm evening, that would be lovely.
