We found a kitten on Sunday night in our church parking lot. Although I was going to take him to the Lexington Human Society on Monday, he was instead adopted by our friends Todd & Emily.

Dooley, named after a character in Jan Karon’s Mitford book series, is only 1.1 pounds, which means that between Eldar, Avalon and Maximus, Randy and I live with 35 times that amount of cat. I think that officially tips the scales for us on the “crazy cat people” measurement towards “eccentric” as opposed to “normal pet owners.”

I took some pictures when we went to visit last night and Dooley seems to be adjusting well.

We got to visit him (being now his godparents) and took some pictures. He’s growing up so fast! Dooley is a sweet kitten who actually will take time to sit on a lap or take a nap with you.
