Today is Randy’s birthday. Although he continues to be the silent partner on this blog (it is named aprilandrandy.com after all) he is an active partner in all other parts of my life. Having Randy as my best friend has made me a better person.
When we met in college, we were both young but already a bit scarred and tempestuous. He was Heathcliff and I was Catherine and like them it took years before we were reunited. Luckily for us, our tale has been happier.
I can only hope that after so many years together, that I have grown to be more like my husband: optimistic, generous, loyal, and adventuresome. Happy birthday, Randy. You are my better half.
Well we think you are both pretty great, which is why we like to spend so much time with you.
