The Fountains of Bellagio were Randy’s favorite part of the trip. We spent several hours over the course of the trip watching the fountains. Every fifteen minutes, the fountains “dance” to various songs, from Elton John’s “Your Song” to Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a theme from Paganini” to Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli’s duet of “Time to Say Goodbye.”

Although watching streams and jets of water move around to music seems simplistic, the experience is quite visceral. It was awe inspiring and brought about feelings of joy and wonder that we adults rarely take time to experience any more.

We’d return to Las Vegas just for those fountains.
