There are 21 people gathered at Randy’s parents’ home for Thanksgiving and we seem to have 10 pies. That’s almost 1/2 a pie per person. I knew I liked Randy’s family.
A few of the many things for which I’m thankful:
My husband Randy who laughs at my silly jokes and silly songs and continues to try to teach me history although my mind is a sieve for dates and places.
My friend Leslie who saw the new Muppet stamps and sent me a sheet because she knows how much I ‘d love them.
My friend Linda who sent me an encouraging e-mail because she knows how lonely I am without our daily updates.
My sister Raquel who embarassed her whole family for me by taking a ridiculous number of pictures of their food today while her family celebrated Thanksgiving at a Marriott resort restaurant just because I like pictures of food.
My favorite store IKEA for putting their cinnamon rolls on sale for 6/$4 which we enjoyed for breakfast today.
Our many new church friends in Charlottesville who have brought us food or had us over to eat.
My niece Cindy who reminded me that I learned how to crochet when I was young and brought me back to its simple joy.
Happy Thankgsiving.
I thought Ikea only sold furniture? They sell cinnamon rolls too????
Actually, I prefer IKEA’s cinnamon rolls to Cinnabon’s. I know that sounds sacreligious but the Cinnabon rolls are just too sweet. IKEA’s are close too perfect and warm up well even the next day!
