What is with the weather this year? It’s freezing one week and warm and toasty the next. We received a little snow last night (which seemingly shut down Charlottesville for about 12 hours) and by the end of this week it’ll be back in the low 60s. I’d rather have a cold winter which gently warms back into spring instead of this yo-yo thing that’s going on.
On a brighter note, being snowed in did give me the opportunity to catch up on uploading pictures to yorkphoto.com so that I can have prints made of them (just $.10 a piece — gotta love that price!). With our move to Charlottesville a few months ago, I’m woefully behind and haven’t had prints made since mid-November. It wouldn’t be so bad except my in-laws have somehow given up taking pictures and now rely on me to be their “official photographer” for family get-togethers. It’s flattering and I’m glad to help. I just need to get caught up.
I suppose I shouldn’t be waiting for these snowed in moments to catch up on the projects that I’m feeling guilty for not doing. It’s always some big project that seems overwhelming, but once I actually dig in, it’s not as bad as I thought, takes much less time than anticipated, and I feel better once it’s addressed. Maybe I should consider myself “snowed in” more often.
