Hopefully there won’t be too many more moves in our near future, or at the very least just a local move or two.

We’re looking into the possibilities of buying a home. It’s an expensive market. According to a local realtor:

Albemarle’s median home price so far this year is $339,000, up 42% from last year, while Charlottesville’s median price is $277,000, up 23% from last year at this time. Albemarle’s median price increase was so dramatic because of a significant number of affordable condo units last year.

It’s a bit daunting but we’re hoping to build some equity instead of just paying rent.
Let’s just hope that the folks who just finished up at UVA are trying to unload some good prospects for us! We’ll keep our fingers crossed.
